Shower/Bathroom
There is a modern flush toilet and solar-heated shower facility. The water is at its hottest in the afternoon and, depending on the weather conditions and amount of usage, should stay warm until the next morning. In the unlikely event there is insufficient hot water available please ask the staff to prepare a bucket of hot water should it be required. Help yourself to the disposable toiletries if you have forgotten your own.
Food
Your stay is fully inclusive of all meals except for lunch on your arrival and departure day unless under prior arrangement. We generally provide a continental breakfast and Nepalese or Western cuisine for dinner. However, please feel free to let Jas Bahadur know should you have any special preferences.
Depending on weather conditions meals may be taken inside or outside.
Water/drinks/beverages
You will find drinking water by your bed and in the kitchen. The water is provided from a fresh water spring and is boiled to make it absolutely safe to drink.
You are welcome to bring your own alcohol or you may consume from the small stock that we have.
Please ask for a price list; a bill will be presented to you on your departure. Payment should be in cash. Coffee/tea is available free of charge.
Winter fires
If you would like a fire in the winter please ask the staff to prepare one.
Please note though that the inside chimney can be a little temperamental depending on which way the wind is blowing.
We highly recommend putting a small fire outside on the steps and enjoying the view and fresh air!
Massages and Haircuts We have a very good lady that will come up to the cottage to give an oil massage. She has to come from Kathmandu and so advance notice of about 4 hours is required.
We also have a great barber who will provide an excellent haircut, shave and head massage.
First Aid
There is a basic first aid kit available should you require it.
Safety
Because of the proximity of the Reserve the area is known to have leopards and other wildlife. Whilst it is very rare for such animals to be seen during the day time it is not unheard of for them to take the occasional goat etc from a village at night. With this in mind please do not wander too far from the cottage at night.
The staff do not sleep in the cottage at night but do sleep in a guard house nearby should you need them.
Telephone
We have a mobile telephone in the cottage that may be used in emergencies.
Gratuities
Please do not tip the staff individually. However, if you would like to leave a tip at the end of your stay please use the gratuity box.
Guest book
Please sign the guest book before your departure.
Have a wonderful stay!
