There are a number of walks available from the cottage. Short walks in the immediate vicinity and longer walks are also possible that can include a visit to the Shivapuri Monastery (5-6 hrs) and directly behind the cottage into the Shivapuri Reserve (2 hrs or 5-6 hrs).
Note that a permit is required to enter the Reserve, available @ Rs 250.00 (foreigners)
